St Peter's Catholic Primary School is one of two primary schools in St Peter's parish in Hazel Grove, a suburb of Stockport. The school is on the outskirts of the Greater Manchester conurbation and on the fringe of the Peak District. It is a voluntary aided school, which means that although mainly funded by Stockport Education Authority, the Diocese of Shrewsbury, to which the school belongs, contributes ten per cent to the building costs of the school. The school offers broad and diverse range of activities stretching across all areas of school life. This includes before and after school clubs, sporting activities and regular theatre, educational and residential visits. The school has enjoyed particular success in the field of music and the Arts.
