Background:
Stockport School was first opened in 1888 and during 1938 the school moved to its present site on Mile End Lane. The school has excellent facilities with a refurbished library, four new satellite areas in addition to the three existing ICT suites, a new drama studio and music block with recording studio. There are number of clubs and groups to suit most interests including a wide range of sports, dance, music, art, technology and ICT. It also offers many off-site activities including canoeing, camping and rock climbing, theatre and museum visits, field trips, art gallery visits and study trips to France, Germany and Italy. The school aims to provide a calm environment, which enables its pupils to learn effectively.
