St Simon's is a Catholic Primary School situated in the Diocese of Shrewbury and is maintained by Stockport Education Authority. St Simon's opened in 1970 and was originally open plan. The school has developed an excellent library with internet access and has extensive playing fields. Each classroom has internet access for a number of computers. The school offers extra-curricular clubs for art, dance and drama, netball, football, hockey, rugby, rounders, cricket, singing and computer. The school aims to provide a Catholic education with Christ at the heart of all it does.
