Background:
Edleston Primary School is a community school and was built in the 1870's. It is a popular school set in the heart of Crewe, Cheshire. The school currently has eight classes. There are art and craft areas, a well-stocked library, interactive whiteboards, a new computer suite with internet access plus computers in each classroom. The school hall is used for assemblies, physical education and dining purposes. A wide range of activities is provided by the staff both in and out of school hours. These include football, French, chess club, homework, art, choir, ICT, games and a Friday club. The school considers educational visits to places of interest to be a vital part of primary education. The school ethos reflects the importance of tolerance and respect for others in a multi-racial society within a Christian and moral framework.
