Background:
The County High School Leftwich was founded as Northwich Girls' Grammar School in 1957 and enlarged to become a comprehensive school in 1978. The extensive grounds are located on the southern boundary of the market town of Northwich. Pupils come from a wide area of central Cheshire. The school offers a broad range of extra-curricular activities with particular strengths in sport and music. The school has taken steps to improve its facilities including a new science laboratory, new girls' changing rooms and the establishment of two new dedicated ICT suites. A new all-weather sports pitch is next in line. The school is committed to; the environment, learning, individuals, citizenship and teamwork.
