The school vision is to create a culture of achievement within a caring community. The school has recently been awarded specialist college status for the arts. Collective worship and religious education are of a non-denominational character. The religious education programme is in accordance with the revised Cheshire agreed syllabus for religious education. The school is continually developing its computer resources. All students have their own personal and secure area for storing their work on the network. The school offers a wide range of sporting activities during and after-school hours. Traditional team sports include soccer, cricket, netball and hockey and there is ample provision for other sports such as athletics, badminton, basketball, tennis, gymnastics and the school is recognised as a centre of excellence for dance as evidenced by its successful bid for specialist school status. The school aims to provide a happy, safe and stable environment in which learning can take place.
