Background:

Moulton School is a medium sized four to 11 years primary school. It serves the villages of Moulton and Bostock as well as taking children from other areas. The school lies midway between Northwich and Winsford, close the historic centre of Cheshire, in nearby Bostock. The main building was built in 1893 for the children of Salt Miners; 110 years later a half a million pound extension was added, opening in December 2003. A rich curriculum is offered which extends the arts and sports to pupils. Recent developments include judo, fencing and cross-country as well as after-school clubs. The school maintains a wide range of extra-curricular activities. These include football, netball, cricket, art, computers, science, choir, drama and instrumental group. The school aims to promote a positive ethos throughout the school together with good relationships that reflect the school's commitment to high achievement in an effective environment.
