Background:
Wilmslow Grange Primary School was opened in 1963 at a time when Handforth had grown considerably in population. The school building was externally refurbished in 1989, adapted to enlarge some classrooms, and a computer suite built in 2002. The school aims to provide children with opportunities to communicate, present and retrieve information within the contexts of other subjects. It encourages children to join in with a variety of extra-curricular games, football, netball, cross-country running, volleyball and athletics. A variety of extra-curricular music is provided. The school aims to develop high academic and social standards within a quality learning environment.
