Background:
Originally founded in 1899, the school moved into a new open-plan building in 1976. Two new mobile and two classrooms have since been added to accommodate the increasing numbers of children seeking admission to this over-subscribed school. The school is located close to Sale town centre. It offers a range of after school activities such as football, netball, judo, cricket, aerobics, guitar, recorder and French. As part of its centenary celebrations in 1999, the pupils worked with artist parents to produce a mural in fibre-glass and a mosaic commemorating playground games, and this is now mounted on the exterior wall of the school. Every year children support many charities and the proceeds from the end of year musical is given to nominated charities. Basic Skills Quality Mark (2003); Investor in People status (2003); DfES achievement award (2003). Ethos: 'Praying together, learning for life, caring for all'.
