Background:
Pott Shrigley School is a Church School with close links with the Anglican Church of St Christopher. The present school building was originally built as a Sunday School for the parish and is now owned by the Village Hall Trust. Over the years it has been extended and modernised and it now has two well-equipped classrooms and a nursery classroom. The main hall and kitchen forms part of the Village Hall outside school hours and there are many social events involving the local community. The school has excellent ICT facilities with a networked suite of computers and internet access, a laptop computer and two interactive whiteboards which are used regularly to enhance the curriculum. The school believes strongly in the importance of the partnership between home and school and encourage all parents to become actively involved in the life of the school.
