Background:
Founded in 1846, Kingsley St John's is a Church aided school which serves Kingsley, Frodsham, Helsby and the surrounding villages. Parents are supportive of the school, both with helping out and raising money. The school has many links with the local community and other schools. It is a member of Frodsham and District Arts Association; a group of schools, which arranges frequent arts events such as singing, an annual art exhibition, a dance festival, art workshops and area sports events. There is also a playgroup and an out of school club for working parents. Through the year children are encouraged to support various charities. The school has a link with a school in Soweto, South Africa and the heads have exchanged visits. As a Church of England School it aims to help each child develop a set of Christian moral values as a pattern for life. It endeavours to help each child to acquire knowledge, a variety of skills and a motivation to use them.
