Opened on 1st September 1958, situated on a seven-acre site in Cheshire village of Christleton, three miles from Chester city centre. The school offers 'up-to-date' facilities, including new science laboratories, drama and music suite, sports hall and new swimming pool. The school employs three sports coaches to provide enhancment and has a record of national representation in Biathle, rowing and athletics. The school is an LA designated coaching school. The school has reputation for performing arts, one in three students play atleast one musical instrument and the school has a number of bands and ensambles; biennial musical productions, creative writing and public-speaking competitions. Total of 18 sports taught; 15 available as club activities at lunchtime or after school. Combined Business and Enterprise College and Mathematics and Computing College Status.
