Background:

Wild Bank Community School was opened in 1977 and comprises of one single-storey building, which is of open plan design. Wild Bank has extensive well-maintained grounds and hills, fields, gardens, a pond and a stream surround the school. There are separate infant and junior playgrounds. The main building houses three Key Stage 2 and a Key Stage 1 class, a multipurpose hall, an excellent library and a computer suite. It has a large playground and also able to use facilities at Copley High School. The children play traditional team sports as part of the PE curriculum. These include football, netball, athletics, rounders and swimming. The school'supplements the PE activities with a number of school clubs. This is a valuable part of the life of its school. The school aims to provide a happy, secure, stable environment in which all children can reach their full potential and develop a positive self-image.
