Background:
Opened in May 1962, the site, which is opposite Lindow Common, has been developed over time and now includes a butterfly garden, wilderness area, adventure playground, sports field and playground area. An extension providing another classroom and further administrative space is due for completion in 2000. The school has just one intake each year, in September. The ethos is based upon the assumption that 'every child has an entitlement to the best education we can provide'. Both before and after school care are available on site. Children with special educational needs (SEN) receive assistance and support from a part-time SEN teacher.
