Background:
The school opened in 1993 as a result of the amalgamation of Lingley Infants and Barrow Hall Lane Juniors. Its 16 classrooms are housed in two buildings, one for infants, the other for juniors, and it is situated in an area surrounded by privately owned houses and some council houses. The school grounds include a large school field, nature trail, pond and four playgrounds. Sports coaching is offered by Warrington Wolves, Everton FC and Manchester United FC. Peripatetic tuitionis offered in guitar, flute, clarinet, trumpet and cornet. Children are encouraged to raise funds for charities such as Genes for Jeans and is part of the Warrington Irish Project. The school has achieved Investor in People status and is over-subscribed, receiving 1.5 applications for each place in Reception.
