Background:
Situated in an attractive, residential village close to Wilmslow, the school's buildings date from its foundation in the early 1900s, with three recent extensions. It is surrounded by rolling countryside in a 'delightful rural setting' and offers two playgrounds and a playing field. Children are accepted from a wide cathcment area. In addition to the full range of National Curriculum subjects, an after-school club operates from 3.15pm until 6pm each evening offering French, football, netball, drama, music, art and technology. There are 'strong links' with the local community and villagers are invited to attend events at the school. There are also links with local industries such as Zenaca and British Aerospace, and children support a charity each year. The school is over-subscribed, receiving two applications for each place.
